St. Paul's Bay, Malta TEACHING ENGLISH - MOTIVATING LEARNERS AND PREPARING FOR CLIL
The context in which the courses in Malta are held, allows us to go back to an amazing history. Malta's location in the middle of the Mediterranean has historically given it great strategic importance as a naval base, and a succession of powers, including the Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Normans, Sicilians, Spanish, Knights of St. John, French, and British have ruled the islands! An exceptional rich history can be experienced marveling its architectural and historical monuments and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Malta also is a popular tourist destination because of its warm climate, with about 300 days full of bright sunshine.

I would highly recommend this course to other teachers because - besides the well-chosen social activities-, the course contained a rich variety of methods, games, raps, songs and chants, which can immediately be used in the primary and secondary EFL classroom. It was a great experience. Sara It was a great week: brilliant course, brilliant organiser and brilliant isle of Cyprus with sandy beaches! Thanks for everything! Annette The ERASMUS/Comenius Course for Teachers of English in Taormina is well-organised, full of new ideas, methods and techniques and helps participants not only to improve their own speaking ability but also their social and cultural skills – it broadens ones mind!
